Keys to Success

Program Overview

  1. Professional Development: full-staff, small-group, and individual PD sessions for all classroom and support teachers for three years (classroom teachers receive up to 60 hours of direct contact time over the 3-year implementation; all VTS trainings must be conducted by Qualified VTS Trainers)
  2. Curriculum Materials: teacher manuals, image sets, website (print materials: www.VTSmaterials.org) (web materials: www.VTSweb.org
  3. Program Website: our comprehensive program website (www.vtsweb.org) provides access to all VTS curriculum materials and PD resources, including extensive video and teacher activities, student writing activities, and more
  4. Program Management: a dedicated VTS trainer will work with school staff to develop a program model and professional development schedule based on the school's individual circumstances
